This episode is from last season, but to get things started and kind of explain how things are going to work, I'm going to start with someone I'm familiar with that most people are probably not too aware of.
The song featured in this episode of The Vampire Diaries is call All We Are from Matt Nathanson's latest album Some Mad Hope. The scene where two of the main leads, Stefan Salvatore and Elena Gilbert, being dancing at the party and discuss business involving Stefan's brother Damon Salvatore.
37-year-old Matt Nathanson is originally from Lexington, Massachusetts, now living in San Fransisco, California and has been making albums since 1993 with his first album release titled: Please, but has been singing longer than that. He's recorded six albums so far, with a new one to be release in 2011. That date has not been released. Though, via Matt's Twitter, the last of the mixes are done. So it should be soon before we get more info about the release date.

He also performed his song Laid which was the main song for the movie American Pie: Wedding
Most people who are familiar with any of Matt's songs might know his hit Come On Get Higher which has been played on radio stations and featured in shows since its release in 2008. Sugarland have performed their own cover of the song and even have a recording on it for their Deluxe Fan Edition of Love On The Inside.

ReplyDeleteNeat concept for a blog! I used to LOVE the music on Eli Stone, and I liked the show, too. So, of course, the network canceled it.
ReplyDeleteAngry Asian: Yeah, Matt is amazing! I love his so much! If I were to get a tattoo I would get a lyric of Matt's.
ReplyDeletethe Flying Critics: Thanks! Eli Stone was a good show! I am sad they canceled it!

ReplyDeleteLove this, makes me want to watch the show!
ReplyDeleteThis show, among others, is why my ipod is so schizophrenic in music genres! I stay on my computer while watching just to look up the bands that are featured each week.
